Excursion Berlin
3-day study excursion with 86 other students to Berlin
We visited Betahaus which is a co-workihg space for start-up companies. It is a place where you can turn your idea into a company with other companies. I Followed seminars from speakers from start-up companies like Vamos, Klash Gidsy and Spotify, (companies are clickable) allthough we can hardly call Spotify a start-up company. The speakers told about the difficulties when starting your own company and give us tips about how to start your own company. It is really important to keep believing in your product no mather what everyone else says. When things aren't going very well you have to puss through and need to maintain your central goal. Stay focussed and keep your eyes open for oppurtunities that come by. The speaker of Spotify give us an insight behind the scenes of Spotify and what other parties where involved to make a product like Spotify work. It was an really inspiring afternoon
Another excursion was the visit of Tresor by day, Tresor is one of the oldest nightclubs of Berlin. Tresor is located in an old power plant from Alexanderplatz and modified as little as possible to make an industrial location for events and expeditions. Everything in Tresor looks really raw and industrial. The manager told us about the history Tresor and the start of the Techno scene in Berlin. It was a really impressive tour, later that night we went to Tresor to discover the club at night, this was a really unique experience.
